Studying with the Dopaminergic System Transfected Receptors
نویسندگان
چکیده
Dopamine receptors are responsible for diverse effects within and outside the central nervous system. The five dopamine receptors that have been cloned (DIA, D1B also known as D5, D2, D3, and D4) belong to two major families; the D1 like and D2 like dopamine receptors. The D1 like receptors are linked to the stimulation while D2 like receptors are linked to the inhibition of adenylyl cyclase. The physiologic role of the dopamine receptors has been difficult to decipher because several of the subtypes co-exist in the same tissue. However, studies of receptors artificially expressed using transfected cDNA have revealed some of the biochemical mechanisms unique to each dopamine receptor subtype. (Hypertens Res 1995;18 Suppl. I: S19-S22)

Role of dopaminergic receptors in acute joint inflammation in the rabbits
The dopaminergic system has different effects on the cardiovascular and immune systems. Since both vascular injuries and activation of the immune system are involved in joint inflammation, in the present study the role of dopaminergic receptors in knee joint inflammation was studied. Evans blue (75 µ g/kg) was used in order to observe changes in permeability which occurred during the process ...
متن کاملPossible Involvement of Glutamatergic, Adrenergic and Dopaminergic System in Methylphenidate - induced Motor Activity and Mood-related Alterations in Rats
Background and Objective: Methylphenidate (MPH), as a central nervous system stimulant, is often used to manage hyperactive disorders. The literature is scarce regarding the behavioral consequences of chronic MPH treatment and the role of involved receptors. Thus, in the current study involved receptors in MPH induced-anxiety, depression and motor activity disorders were evaluated. Materials a...

Background and Objective: Dopamine receptors and histamine influence anxiety-like behaviors. Furthermore, interaction between histamine and dopaminergic D1 receptors has been demonstrated in the modulation of some behavior. In the present study, we investigated the interaction between histamine and dopaminergic D1 receptors in the dorsal hippocampus in the anxiety behavior. Materials and Method...
متن کاملDopamine- induced hypophagia is mediated via NMDA and mGlu1 receptors in chicken
Background: Feeding behavior is regulated by a complex network which interacts via diverse signals from central and peripheral tissues. It is known dopaminergic and glutamatergic systems have crucial role on food intake regulation but scarce reports exist on their interaction in appetite regulation in broilers. OBJECTIVES: The present study was designed to examine the role of glutamatergic syst...
متن کاملThe Response of Ventral Tegmental Area Dopaminergic Neurons to Bupropion: Excitation or Inhibition?
Introduction: Antidepressants can modulate brain monoamines by acting on pre-synaptic and postsynaptic receptors. Autoreceptors can reduce the monoamines effect on the somatodendritic or pre-synaptic regions despite its postsynaptic counter effects. The direct effect of some antidepressants is related to its temporal and spatial bioavailability in the vicinity of these receptors (still a matter...
